Scouts Canada

At Scouts Canada, we're always looking for new ways to introduce our youth to nature and science.  Bugs Without Borders bought a fresh, enthusiastic, first-person perspective to our meeting.  Our Beaver Scouts were spellbound as they listened to stories about unique insects and reptiles, and how research is conducted.  They saw some new creatures first hand, and were challenged to touch them and learn about their behaviour.  Overall, the best value nature instruction we've had.

"Our girls loved the bugs without borders experience! They learned a lot about the importance of protecting all types of bugs, and about the positive impact they have on our environment. With the help of the instructor, the girls were able to overcome their nerves and touch and hold all of the awesome creatures! We would like to thank bugs without borders for teaching us how important these bugs are to our world!"

Parent – “My daughter truly enjoys Bug Camp.  She’s learned about Insects and developed her interest in the environment, and has had some invaluable hands-on experience.  The teachers are friendly, knowledgeable and passionate!  My daughter rates her camp experience as “excellent”. After finishing her 1st week at Bug Camp in 2010, she looked forward to repeating her experience all year.

Parent – "I can’t belive how open my children are to Bugs now...the initial fear is gone and they are now more fascinated.  Thanks for taking such good care of the boys - they had a great time."

Parent – “When I pick up my boys, they can’t stop talking about all the great things they are seeing and doing.  They love it”.

Parent – “My kids loved Bug Camp!  They learned more about different Bugs and Reptiles than I thought possible!  They loved the opportunity to hold and examine so many live animals, and then to get their own unique pet to take home!”

Parent – "Erich loved his second year of Bug Camp!  The staff was great to deal with and the program was really interesting for him. He was sad when his week at camp ended and said he can’t wait to come back next year.  It’s great that such a fun and educational program is available for kids his age.  Thanks for an excellent parent and child experience!  See you next year."

Parent –  "This was my 5 year old son’s first experience at a camp.  After a week at Bug camp, he attended a few other camps (Art, sports, etc.).  At the end of the month he begged me to cancel all other camps so he could go to Bug camp again…he absolutely loved it!"

"Bugs Without Borders has visited our school numerous times over the past four years. Each unique workshop has been informative but more importantly, the children have absolutely loved every minute. The workshops allow for hands-on interaction. Sabeena's approach with the children is age-appropriate, respectful, and fun. I would highly recommend Bugs Without Borders to any program with children aged 3 to 12."

"Bugs Without Borders was such an exciting, interactive and informative experience for my class! Samantha tailored her presentation ahead of time to target exactly what my students were studying (endangered species) and so the presentation fit perfectly into my curriculum. The children LOVED the hands on and exploratory nature of the experience!"
